Dr. Charles H. Thorman, Ph.D. (Univ. of Wash., 1962; Cert. Prof. Geol. #10860), 3 yrs as structural geologist at Humble Oil; 6 yrs teaching at the college level; and 24 yrs as a research scientist & manager + 30 yrs as emeritus scientist with the U.S. Geol. Survey.  Chuck spent ~2 yrs in Brazil with the USGS managing and teaching short courses to the newly formed Brazilian Geological Survey (CPRM) personnel and ran 3 international (1986,1992, 1995) IUGS/UNESCO Deposit Modeling Courses on gold exploration in Brazil.
