Lawrence W. Snee is a Ph.D. geologist who has worked in the profession for fifty years. He is a certified professional geologist (AIPG#11085). After his postdoctoral research at the United States Geological Survey he was a geology professor at Oregon State University before joining the USGS and serving for 27 years as a senior research scientist. His work in this sector covered the world including Pakistan and Afghanistan. In 2006 after his retirement his company Global Gems and Geology worked on many international projects that included work in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. Currently he is executive vice president for exploration for the Chilean Cobalt Corporation.
